It is essential that this disclosure and other background checks are satisfactory before employment can be confirmed.
These disclosures will be treated confidentially and sensitively. Foxes Academy adheres to the DBS Code of Practice and our policies on the Recruitment of Ex-offenders and the Secure Storage, Handling, Use, Retention of Disclosures and Disclosure Information.
The amendments to the Exceptions Order 1975 (2013) provide that certain spent convictions and cautions are ‘protected’ and are not subject to disclosure to employers, and cannot be taken into account. Guidance and criteria on the filtering of these cautions and convictions can be found on the Disclosure and Barring Service website.
All applicants are required to complete our application form and provide a full employment history. References will be sought from two professionals, both of whom can write with authority about your performances, abilities and competences in a work, voluntary or educational background. If you are not currently working with young people / vulnerable adults but have done so in the past please provide reference details from a past employer for whom you worked in this capacity.
