How Do I Apply?

Foxes Academy welcomes applications from young people who have learning disabilities, have an Education, Health and Care Plan, aspire to work in the hospitality industry and are sufficiently physically fit to undertake catering and hospitality tasks.

The course at Foxes Academy must demonstrate academic progression for the young person. This means that applicants need to be working below Level 1. If an applicant has already achieved a Level 1 qualification in Hospitality or undertaken a Supported Internship, Traineeship or Apprenticeship, the course at Foxes Academy is unlikely to offer sufficient progression and challenge.

For further information, please contact the Admissions Team.

Course
The course at Foxes Academy is over 3 years and covers vocational qualifications and independent living skills. The essential work based qualifications recognised by employers are the NVQ Level 1 Certificate in Hospitality Services and the Level 1/2 Award in Food Safety.

To ensure learners have the competency to achieve these qualifications, they work though the Pathway to Life courses. These are bespoke courses focusing on the development of vocational and independent living skills.

More details can be found in the Courses section.

Therapy
All learners are supported by the in-house Therapy Team and have access to Speech and Language Therapy, Occupational Therapy and Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, as required. Targets relating to therapy are embedded across all areas of the 3-year residential programme.
